Who we are

Finqora is an AI-powered financial dashboard operated by Flamingo Infotech Pvt Ltd, registered in India. We provide a portfolio explainer and news aggregation platform for Indian retail investors. Our registered address is Parkview Kadamb, Khodiyar Ahmedabad - 382481. You can reach us at support@finqora.ai.

We are a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By using Finqora, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

Data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform.

Account information:

• Name and email when you register
• Password (stored in hashed form; we never store plain-text passwords)

Portfolio inputs:

• Asset categories, risk preference, and investment horizon you provide
• Watchlist items and portfolio allocations you enter manually
• We do not connect to your brokerage accounts or access actual holdings without explicit permission

Usage data:

• Pages visited, features used, time on platform
• Device type, browser, and IP address (used for security and analytics)

Communications:

• Messages you send to our support team

How we use your data

• Platform operation: To display your portfolio dashboard, generate news feeds, and send alerts relevant to your tracked assets
• AI portfolio explanations: Your risk profile and asset selections are passed to our AI engine to generate personalised portfolio rationale. See Section 4 for important disclosures on this.
• Product improvement: Aggregated and anonymised usage data helps us improve features
• Communications: Transactional emails (account, alerts) and, with your consent, product updates
• Legal compliance: To meet obligations under applicable Indian law

AI-generated suggestions

When you use our AI portfolio features, your risk profile, investment horizon, and category preferences are processed by a third-party AI API (ChatGPT). This data is transmitted securely and is subject to ChatGPT's data processing terms. We do not share your name or contact details with the AI provider — only the anonymised inputs needed to generate a response.

AI outputs are generated dynamically and may reflect current news events. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Finqora accepts no liability for financial decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Third-party services

We integrate with the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• NSE India / Economic Times RSS: Public market announcement feeds. No personal data is shared.
• ChatGPT: Powers AI portfolio rationale. Receives anonymised input data as described in Section 4.
• Groww, Zerodha, Kuvera: When you click an affiliate redirect, you leave Finqora and are subject to that platform's privacy policy. We may receive confirmation of a completed referral for affiliate accounting purposes — this does not include your transaction details.
• Analytics provider: We use Kite API for anonymised usage analytics. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.

Data storage & retention

Your data is stored on servers located in India (or within a jurisdiction that meets India's data localisation requirements under the DPDP Act).

• Account data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after deletion
• Portfolio inputs: Retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Usage logs: Retained for 12 months in aggregated form
• Support communications: Retained for 2 years

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:

• Right to access: Request a summary of personal data we hold about you
• Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Right to grievance redressal: Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer
• Right to nominate: Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
• Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time; this will not affect lawfulness of prior processing

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Passwords stored using encrypted hashing
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access personal data
• Regular security reviews

No system is completely secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately at support@finqora.ai. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to cause harm, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

Children

Finqora is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our product evolves or as legal requirements change. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
